What is the Smart Export Guarantee
The Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) is a government-initiated export tariff in the UK for small scale generators that have installed small-scale, renewable, or low carbon technology. Licensed electricity suppliers pay them for every kilowatt hour of eligible electricity they generate and feed into the National Grid. To participate, you need an export meter capable of measuring exported electricity, which can be a smart meter or an eligible traditional meter.

Are solar panels right for my home?
Solar panels will work for most homes. But things like the direction, angle, and size of your roof will affect how much energy you’ll capture.
